Finding the perfect LCD TV set isn't exactly easy, especially since there are so many different styles and options. But finding the right television was merely the first step on my road to finding the new centerpiece of my entertainment room.
I knew that the TV set was going to be the central focus of the room, so I wanted to ensure that the stand I picked to hold it wouldn't take away from the aesthetic appeal. This goes as much for the room as for the TV. Ruining the look of either is practically criminal.
I wanted to make sure to pick an LCD TV stand that wouldn't be out of place in my home. I generally favor more modern furniture, so I wanted to take my time choosing a stand which would feel right. Settling on a material was hard enough, but finding the right stand style was even tougher.
It seemed that the main categories for LCD TV stands were simple, traditional, contemporary, and modern. I was leaning towards the last of these at first, because my initial impression was that it would better fit the feel of my home.
I was disappointed by modern stands, though, because they were too inorganic. This category seemed to be populated by metal and glass monsters that had no heart to them. I wasn't as disappointed, however, by the next category I looked into.
The contemporary LCD TV stand caught my eye almost immediately. Many of these models were made of sturdy wood materials, which gave me more confidence about their capabilities to hold a hefty television set. They just seemed more solid than modern stands.
What was even better was the look of the stand. The smooth arced lines which defined the piece was simply beautiful. It really added a lot to the look of my entertainment room. The stand was simply classy and elegant.
I'd recommend a contemporary LCD TV stand to just about anybody because they match beauty and grace with a practical endurance and strength. They're wonderfully long lived furniture pieces with multiple uses that make great centerpieces in any room.
